Arthur frowned in annoyance and sighed. At one moment Alfred could be nice and quiet and then turn into this whiney mess and whine. The worse was when he went from serious to being his overenthusiastic self.
"But he already beats you up...daily. So there wouldn't be much of a difference right?" he really didn't see how it would change their relation.
Arthur swated at Alfred's hand. "S-stop that." he protested and his face turned red entirely. After a few more minutes he finally gave in with a defeated sigh.
"Fine...but promise you won't tell anyone...especially not him himself, okay?" he knew Alfred liked to chat about things, but he trusted him at the point of not telling anyone. He hoped he was right trusting him.

Alfred nodded. He rested his cheek against Arthur's shoulder instead, thinking. He was scarily quiet. He always got like this when he was thinking.
"I guess..... I'm just nervous, Arty. I've never asked another guy out..... I've never even really asked agirl out, you know?" He looked down and his hamster, Orpheus, rolled by in its little ball, stared at him, then rolled on into Arthur's room. He just ignored it and hoped Arty didn't see.
He squished Arthur's cheeks together. "C'mooon Artybutt. I'm not gonna tell anyone." Maybe try to get them together, but not directly tell anyone.

Arthur hadn't noticed the hamster rolling into his room. Which was good cause he was really getting tired of Alfred's stuff and animals in his room, or just everywhere in the building besides his room.
He wasn't really into physical contact and didn't like it when someone came into his personal space. Yet, he shoved this aside and put an arm awkwardly around the American. "It'll be alright." he assured him.
His cheeks turned brighter red, in fact his entire face. He flailed about and tried to get away from the other. He scoooted to the other side of the couch and mumbled the name."I-it's stefan."

"Aww man, seriously? That's really cute. You should ask him out yo." Alfred smiled, just content with curling up with Arthur like they would when they were kids. A small part of him wanted Arthur to read to him like when they were little, but he wouldn't push his luck. Besides, what would their roomates say?
He sat up a bit, not liking the numbness that came over half his face at the warmth of the air around them. He heard the hamster ball roll over a few things in Arthur's room and he just whistled innocently to cover it. "For real, Arty. You should ask him out. Or at least do something like....leave him a note or whatevs in his room! It'd be adorable." he snickered.

Arthur tried to hide his blushing face in his pull over. Why had the lad be so embarassing. Why had he even told him. He mumbled something inaudible, but that didn't matter. Alfred didn't need to hear it, he wouldn't listen anyway.
"M-maybe.." he wasn't so sure about it. He liked Stefan a bit but he didn't want to make things awkward between them. "Someday..."
He then shot up, his face bright red. "Don't try anything, okay? And you won't tell anyone right?" he just wanted to make sure Alfred wouldn't try to set them up or tell the entire school. He'd strangle him if he did that.
