SPECIALTY Stealth
Arthur has always been quite sneaky ever since he was just a boy. Often times, he would spy on children in the neighborhood, listening to their conversations, to use whatever they said for blackmail. Of course, there were a few times that he had gotten caught, so he's certainly no James Bond, but he continues to improve on his spying abilities.

FEARS
*Death; Death is certainly a fear of many and Arthur is one of those many. Though, his own death is more of a concern to him than other peoples'. Still, the whole idea of death just doesn't sit well with him.
*Love; As much as Arthur wants to be loved, it scares him. He can't imagine having someone dependent on him, or him being dependent on someone else, especially in this school.
QUIRKS/ODDITIES
-Ever since he was only a child, Arthur has never been able to swim. He tries his best to avoid water when he can, but if it absolutely needs to cross a body of water, he'd rather spend days making a boat out of wood.
-Arthur tends to make faces or expressions without him even knowing. For example, if he's just minding his own business and some person is being, well, annoying, he'll have a face displaying disgust or anger. He can't help the faces he makes, they just... happen.
-He can pluck/trim/wax his eyebrows all he wants, but they always come back within a day or so.
OVERALL PERSONALITY
Arthur can be described as a complicated young man. One minute he could be sipping his tea quietly, minding his own business, but then he could be yelling and screaming till he's red in the face. Quite honestly, if he truly doesn't care for someone, then that someone will face the wrath of Arthur Kirkland's temper. Although, he generally shows his temper to just about everyone he meets, to try and keep them away. Whatever he says to someone on the receiving end of his brutal temper, often hurts far worse than he intends it to be. He does not trust anyone but himself, so putting up a wall between him and everyone else is quite necessary for him. Now this wall becomes fortified with all of the negative traits Arthur has.
Yet, Arthur considers himself to a gentleman, which is actually the truth. His gentleman demeanor just gets buried beneath all the cynical and sarcastic comments he makes. Along with being a little gentleman, his manners are impeccable. Of course, anyone who doesn't have manners as good as him typically hear an earful of correct manners from the boy. In his mind, forcing manners and correct behavior upon people is the only way to fix society these days.
When receiving compliments, or if anyone is generally nice to him, Arthur lashes out at them. Indeed, one may say he does not know how to take a compliment, which is completely true. Arthur does not know how to react to people being kind to him; this is probably due to his poor social skills and the wall he put up around himself.
This boy longs for romance, despite any comments he may make. But, he prefers to keep this side of him locked up. He spent much time reading romance novels and has always been fascinated by the story of Romeo and Juliet. It was reading stories like that, that made a romantic side sort up, "pop up". Although, he will never allow anyone to see such a side of him, yet, his gentleman-like chivalrous conduct seems to tell otherwise.
Arthur has the particular habit of holding grudges. He does not forget those that have bullied him for the way he looks or his fairy friends. It's quite possible to say that this is where his rather harsh temper and his overall nasty attitude came from. Quite honestly, he would be the first to blame them if someone were to ever get the courage to call him out on his attitude.
Unfortunately, Arthur cane act a bit like know-it-all sometimes, well, most of the times, actually. When someone says something wrong, he is the one to instantly correct them and maybe even throw in a "Told you so", because that's the kind of mindset he has. If the situation allows, Arthur may just throw in at least ten reasons why the person is wrong, along with ten reasons why they'll always be wrong. Quite frankly, he just likes to take pride in that he's right and the other person is wrong; it gives him a sense of accomplishment. Indeed, it's completely childish of him, but you'll never hear him admit that. He'd rather have to eat American food then admit he's wrong.
Arthur likes things done his way and his way only. He refuses to listen to others that may critique his ideas or anything things that involve him. In his mind, no one is allowed to judge him but himself. It may seem like his stubbornness, may be positive, however, it often leads him into many arguments and fights.
The Englishman has no self confidence whatsoever. He's always nit-picking himself, constantly finding things that are wrong with him. One day, it may be his hair. Another day, it could be his eyebrows. Arthur just really doesn't like himself.
[From another RP c:]
Small feet took off like a rocket heading far away from the school building. The laughter from the group of boys caused Arthur's ears to ring, which caused him to lose focus on getting away from his peers. Silver salty tears ran down his rosy cheeks as the boys shouted names like, "Bushy brows", "Filthy rat" and "Mop head". Arthur knew it wasn't entirely his fault that he looked the way he looked, but it certainly did not give those other kids any right to pick on him for it. Rage filled the boy's heart as he thought of getting revenge. Yes, Arthur Kirkland would definitely have his revenge.
His shoeless feet skidded in the dirt as he came to a halt. He turned to face the other boys, as his green narrowed, and his eyebrows arched, forming a scowl on his face.
The tears stopped as Arthur put his hands behind his back and puffed out his chest. Of course, the hooligans believed it was Arthur just being, well, Arthur, so they pointed and laughed. One of Arthur's fairy friends placed a few rocks into his hands. The rocks themselves were big enough to cause bumps and bruises; just enough to teach a lesson to the others. Arthur softly whispered, "Thank you", to the fairy. The group of boys stopped laughing and cocked their heads. The Irish boy boldly spoke up, "Wot? Ar' ya talkin' to yerself now Kirklan'? Gentleman such as yerself shouldn' do such things".
A cocky smile formed on Arthur's face, "Ah, yes. You are completely correct. I should not talk to myself." Little did they know, another Arthur was right behind them. The doppelganger behind them appeared to be more of delinquent then the real Arthur himself. The doppelganger was holding a large pointy stick and a few stones, while wearing a large grin on his face. Also, unfortunately, he was naked... but Arthur has been trying to work on that.
The original Arthur nodded to the doppelganger and simply said, "To quote one of my favorite characters, Sherlock Holmes... 'The game is afoot'!" At that very second, the group of boys were pelted with stones. The delinquent Arthur started to beat the Irish boy with the stick. Others scurried away, leaving the two Arthurs to deal with the Irish one. They all knew they definitely saw two Arthurs, but they figured it was from all the stones being thrown at their heads.
The doppelganger pinned down the boy as the original knelt down beside them. Arthur smirked at the boy, who was now filthy from all the dirt, "I believe I won this time". The doppelganger returned to Arthur, who's eyes were still fixed on the Irish lad. He got up and held out his hand, "I suggest you get up so you won't be covered in dirt, wanker". The boy managed to pick himself up without Arthur's help and went off to wherever his cohorts went off to.
Arthur fixed his tattered clothes and brushed off the dust and dirt. He began to walk home, feeling quite successful. Then he remembered that he would have to deal with his father and brothers when he arrived home. Somehow, he and his father would start arguing and then he'd get into a fist fight with one of his brothers. Yes, that was the wonderful Kirkland household, that Arthur just loved.
"Bloody hell."
