RULES
1. No Godmodding. There is a reason this is first on the list. You play your character and your character alone. Don’t assume that a hit connects just because you throw it, and don’t assume someone else’s character will react a certain way. You play your character and everyone else plays theirs. You may also not kill off anyone’s character, and you aren't allowed to kill your own character off either.
2. Play nice. If the character you play is a jerk or a creepy stalker, then by all means, have them be a jerk or a creepy stalker. But there is no reason to act immaturely while OOC. Keep the cursing down to a minimum as much as you can, and don't pick on or insult any of the other members. Please remember that we can't see each other's faces through the cbox, so it's harder to tell whether you're joking about something or not. Keep that in mind.
3. OCs are allowed, BUT the admins will be more strict about OC apps. We don't want any Mary Sue's or Gary Stu's here. Any OC's must be a country, no states, or provinces, or anything like that please.
4. Gender-bends are allowed, but with one condition. You may not reserve a character if one version (the male or female version) is already taken. That means that if, say, Russia is already taken, then you may not reserve Fem!Russia. And if Fem!Italy is taken, then you cannot reserve Italy. This is so that we don't have to deal with doubles and makes things more simple.
5. This is a literate RP. There is a spellcheck for a reason. The occasional spelling or grammatical error is just fine--we don't expect any professional novelists here. But do make an effort to make your posts readable so that there isn't any confusion. Txt spek is also not allowed. In the cbox, you can use acronyms like lol and omg, but not in RP posts. Keep it tidy in here, people.
6. Posts ought to be at least 250 words long. That may seem like a lot, but once you get to writing, it's not that hard to reach. That being said, if it's not exactly 250 words or more, then you won't get in trouble. But it should be close to that, no less than at least two well-formed paragraphs. One-liners are not acceptable.
7. Got this far? Your first keyword is eagle. After you read all the important stuff, you take all of the keywords and PM them to Queenie, the head admin. If you get them all, you'll be given the go-ahead to start on your application.
8. Do not use the smileys in the cbox. Those things are freaking creepy. If you do it by mistake, that's alright, everyone does it once in a while. But try not to use them if you can help it. Just...just don't.
9. You may only have one character for now, unless the admins know you can handle more than one and will be active with more than just one. If you think you can handle having a second character, you must talk to Queenie about it first. Your next keyword is maple.
10. Members have two weeks to post in threads. If you have not been active within that two-week timespan, and have said nothing about being busy or needing a hiatus, then an admin will attempt to contact you. You will be given two days to either write up a RP post or announce a hiatus. If you have not done so within those two days, you will lose your character.
11. There will be monthly activity checks. You have five days to post in the activity check just to let us know that you're still around and plan to be active. If you do not post in the activity check within that week your character will be opened up again for someone else to take.
12. After the activity check, there will be a monthly IC tournament to test students' skills. This will also last one week, and will consist of three rounds. The first round is a solo one, to show people a little of what the students are capable of.
The second round is a team battle; you will be randomly paired off with someone and have to fight another team with that person.
The third round is an all out melee fight. All the students will be let loose in the forest for 36 hours. Once a student gets knocked out or is too injured to move, a teacher will be sent in to retrieve them. The last one in the forest still standing wins the round, and students get points for what place they come in each round, and whoever has the most points in the end wins.
13. If a thread does not get a reply within two weeks, then it will be moved to the thread graveyard, with no exceptions, unless the member who is supposed to be replying to the thread has put up a hiatus notice.
14. No unwilling pairings here, (unless it's something like Belarus stalking Russia, because that is canon) so if someone says 'No' to being paired with you, then you have to accept that answer and move on.
15. No doubles of specialties, if you aren't sure which ones are taken, go to the character reserves list and you will find which character holds which specialty, so you know which ones are taken.
16. We have a "Three strikes you're out" policy here. You will be warned the first two times you break the rules either on the actual forum, or in the cbox, and the third time you will be asked to leave the forum. There are no exceptions to this rule.
17.No Hiatuses longer than two weeks. We understand if you have homework or you get busy with life or medical issues, BUT NO UNDETEREMINED HIATUSES WITHOUT REASON. You must give reason to an admin before going on hiatus.
CHATBOX RULES
-Role-playing is allowed in the cbox, in fact it's encouraged, as this is a role-playing forum.
-However, nothing that is RP'd in the cbox is considered canon to the board. If it isn't in an actual thread, it didn't happen. This is so that there is still RP going on on the board, and not just in the cbox.
-Keep the cussing level at a minimum. Not everyone wants to come in to see a lot of curse words.
-Keep it PG-13. If you want to RP something really gory or explicit, take it to MSN, Skype, or whatever kind of chat you use. If an admin sees an M-rated RP going on in the cbox, you will be asked to take it somewhere else.
-No drama, or extreme angst in the cbox- Please either keep your personal problems to yourself, or take them to pm or MSN if you want to talk to someone about them.
-Play nicely. Remember that we can't see each other's faces through the cbox, so it's sometimes hard to tell if you're joking or not. If there's any doubt as to whether or not something sounds insulting or offensive, don't press enter. We want people to have fun and make friends, not cause drama. And your next keyword is vodka.
-Respect everyone, their views, opinions, where they're from, whatever. It doesn't matter if someone from there is actually in the cbox or not, be nice to everyone and respect their opinions, and where they're from.
IF YOU BREAK ANY OF THE CBOX RULES A MOD WILL BAN YOU FOR TEN MINUTES AS A WARNING, AND IF YOU BREAK A RULE AGAIN YOU WILL BE TALKED TO BY AN ADMIN AND BANNED FROM THE CBOX UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
ACADEMY RULES
(Even though most students find most of these optional to follow))
1. Play nicely, you aren't allowed to start fights, unless it's in class and supervised, or there are no teachers around to catch you, if you care about the consequences that is, if you don't care, well then have fun.
2. No alcohol on campus, none, nada, we do not need drunk people who can fight wandering around the school please, so it's usually best to stay in your dorm and drink where you can't get caught.
3. Everyone must be back in their dorms by 11 PM at the latest, if someone is caught out of their dorm after eleven, then the entire dorm will get stuck with a week of detention, so don't get caught!
4. You must attend classes unless you have a very good excuse (i.e. In the infirmary, seriously injured, death, beating up someone, etc.)
5. Friendships and relationships are frowned upon by the staff, but they aren't forbidden, although the teachers will try to do their best to break you apart and pit you against each other, some people are strong enough to get through all that.
6. You are not allowed to be caught carrying weapons around campus, so as long as you keep them well hidden you should be fine. Your last keyword is puffin.
