Aquatic Operations: Her father being a retired Admiral for the Danish Navy, he taught his daughter everything he possibly could about sea navigation, survival, and sea based tactics. So from a young age the girl was on a boat, learning everything she could about boats and the military vessels her father once headed. She is an expert at anything concerning aquatics, from military strategy to search and rescue and everything in between.
Weapon Based Martial Arts: Her love for medieval weaponry drove her to seek a martial art to accommodate her interest. Her father made sure she had the finest instructors, so that he was certain she would be ready for a military career similar to the one he had. That is why she was sent to the school in the first place.
YOUR CHARACTER'S LIKES
+Beer; Danish beer is the best in the world, duh!
+History; Specifically Viking history and Norse mythology. She absolutely adores those subjects and reads about them in her spare time.
+Sharp Objects; Once again, more so focused towards Viking period weaponry. She has a collection of various bladed weapons.
+Sports; Mia loves winter sports and a good game of football. She particularly loves snowboarding and hockey.
+Women; the young woman is 100% not interested in men romantically and she has been known to flirt shamelessly with other women.
+Danish Design; it’s actually more of a secret, but she loves Danish style design, buildings or interior wise.
+Her girlfriend; Last, but certainly not least, Mia adores her sweet girlfriend Idunn.
+Fairytales; She was raised on all sorts of fairytales and she has a special place in her heart for them. It is another thing she keeps to herself.
+Sailing; The Danish girl was practically raised on a boat because of her father’s line of profession.
+Fish; It’s a secret love of hers. No, not just eating, though she does like that. She thinks that many fish are adorable and has a rather nice aquarium in her room.
YOUR CHARACTER'S DISLIKES
-No Beer; Being without beer or any booze of any kind suuuuuuucks.
-Men; while she can be friends with men perfectly well; she finds any other relationship with one nothing but a migraine.
-Bad Sailing Weather; Nothing ruins a perfectly good training exercise like terrible weather.
-Too Much Order; Being that she was raised in a Militaristic home; she was forced to be reserved while at home and always to be neat. Mia hates all that stuff y behaviour.
-Her Collection Going Dull; She keeps a well-stocked arsenal in her closet of various bladed weapons. And it’s a pet peeve of hers that they always keep sharp; else she’ll spend an entire afternoon working them back into shape.
-Swedish people; That’s not to say she doesn’t like all of them, she just usually finds interaction with them to be a waste of time.
FEARS
Death: Now while the young woman will haphazardly throw herself into any dangerous situation, if she figures out that she is in trouble, she will fight even fiercer to assure her survival. She will even resort to dirty tactics, if she feels the situation calls for it.
Losing Someone Important to Her: When it comes to someone who she finds important, whether it be family, friends, or a romantic interest, she will completely disregard her own safety to protect them.
QUIRKS/ODDITIES
=She is a fair height for a female. She stands roughly 5'9" or so, she'll argue she is 'at least 5'10" 1/2'.
=Mia gets lost in daydreams of a more exciting time in Danish history. She has fantasies about the peak of the Viking era. And she secretly wishes she could have lived back then.
=Mia always wears a necklace with the rune of ‘strength’ on it. She feels in is a blessing of sorts to help her always strive for better.
=Mia has a small black military style hat she is almost always wearing, over her layered messy hair.
OVERALL PERSONALITY
- Outgoing; Mia is a very fun loving individual. She is almost always found with a large grin on her face, even when she is upset. She is very easy to get along for the most part and she is always looking for a good time. She goes out of her way to try and make friends of people who might have a hard time of it.
- Determined; Once Mia sets her mind on something it is very hard to get her to change her mind. If she deems something worth her time and effort she won't stop until the object of her desire becomes her own. [Including people and objects.]
- Loyal; Mia is a very loyal person, to her friends, family, or significant other. She wouldn't hesitate to throw herself into harm’s way if it meant to protect that individual.
- Laid-back; when she isn't out making friends or being a pest to people because of her bright demeanor, she is sitting back without a care in the world with a cold beer and a good book, preferably Danish beer and a mythology book. It takes a lot to get under the Dane’s skin.
- Absent Minded; Mia can be terribly absent minded at times, forgetting things that she had been doing or had planned on doing. When she was at home it ended up getting her in trouble rather frequently.
- Easily fascinated; Mia’s attention is easily taken by a number of things. Firsts on that list include, beer, exotic fish, and shiny objects.
- Pervert; Mia is truly a pervert to her core. That is made very obvious when she is around her girlfriend Idunn, as she will make no attempt to hide any intentions she has. She very much enjoys making the younger girl blush, as she says ‘it is cute~’.
The first day of her second year and the summer had flown by so fast. She had spent almost every waking hour with Idunn. And even a couple hot summer evenings that made Mia wonder even more about the small Norwegian. She set out, running a couple minutes late, as usual. She ran down the road to meet Idunn at the same place they met every day over the past few months. A grin smeared on her face as she ran up behind the blonde. She wanted to talk to her alone, at some point during the day. "Hey!"
Idunn let out a sigh as she adjusted the strap of her messenger bag while waiting for Mia. The summer had just flown by, and school was starting again. Ew. But at least the summer had been made bearable thanks to spending pretty much all of her time with Mia. She had figured something out over the summer months though, something that she was never planning on telling anyone, let alone the older girl who was her only friend in this country. Another small sigh escaped her lips, before she turned around, letting a small smile cross her face briefly when she saw Mia, waving slightly at the Dane. "Hallo."
Mia chewed on her lower lip slightly as she saw the younger girl wave at her. She quickly replaced the somewhat strange look on her face, with her usual grin. "Sorry! I..overslept again...heh." that was a lie. She had been up, but she had been thinking about what she wanted to say to the other girl when they could speak alone. She had never really dwelled so long and hard on what to say before. Usually things flowed so easily, but the smaller girl made that flow falter, but it was something Mia didn't really mind. It was one of the things that made being around Idunn, so much fun.
Idunn let out a little laugh, shaking her head. "I sort of figured that." She said quietly, smiling a little, even though she could tell it was a lie. She figured that Mia would tell her what she had actually been doing in due time. She chewed on her lip a little, idly adjusting her bag strap again, just to give her a bit of a distraction.
"Alright!" The older girl said enthusiastically as she pointed in the general direction of the school. "Onward!" She added laughing as she began walking. She glanced over at Idunn and always liked to see that little smile she so rarely wore. She walked almost protectively beside her knowing she had been bullied before and she had sworn it would never happen while she was around.
Idunn rolled her eyes a little at the enthusiasticness of the older girl as they walked towards the school, but she kept the small smile on her face. "So, after this year you only have one left then, huh?" She said quietly, nibbling on her lip a little as they walked. Hopefully this year would be better than her last year had been. It had somehow managed to be worse than any of her previous school years, with the only good part being getting to see and hang out with Mia. But this year they were both at the high school, so she was hoping that it would be better.
Mia parted ways with Idunn when they got to the school. She hadn't found an appropriate time to talk to her on the way to school in the morning. So she thought about it the entire day. She almost agonised over it. Her stomach churned and she felt generally sick as she thought about the younger female. No one had ever had this effect on her and she couldn't properly describe it. The Norwegian had been her constant companion over the past school year and summer break. And now she understood how deep her feelings for the girl were. She would talk to her after school. She had to. Mia would drive herself crazy if she didn't. The Dane had to tell the younger girl how much she meant to her.
Idunn reluctantly parted ways with Mia when they reached the school. Loathe as she was to admit it, she liked spending all of her time with the Dane, and she felt so much safer when with her. She stayed as silent as she could get away with during that first day back, ignoring her old tormentors, who seemed to be trying to make up for not being able to make her life hell over the summer. She just wanted the day to be over, so she could go and see Mia, and walk away from the school for the day, and have a few relaxing hours with the older girl who made life bearable for her, before having to go back to this hell. She wished that she could work up the courage to tell the older girl who she felt about her, but she couldn't, Mia deserved better
than what she could give her, so she would keep her mouth shut.
Mia cut the last class early enough to be waiting for Idunn after the bell rang. The teachers never cared enough to care that she missed those last couple minutes. She was leaning on the gate as she scanned the throng of students for the adorably short girl. Her signature grin smearing across her lips as she saw her. She couldn't stand there acting cool though. She ran over to her spastically and took her by the arm. "Come on! Let's get outta here!" She said pulling the girls after her. Mia saw a couple of the students she knew were giving Idunn a hard time, even though Idunn didn't like to say who they were. Mia wasn't as dumb as she normally acted. She put herself protectively between Idunn and the bullies, casting a serious glare over her shoulder as she pushed Idunn along and off the school grounds. She was leading her to their favorite place. The clearing in the woods that she had showed her not long after Idunn had come to Denmark.
Idunn let out a small sigh of relief when the bell rang at the end of the day, quickly packing up her things and getting out of the classroom. She hurried to her locker and grabbed her bag, shoving her homework into it before hurrying out of the school before any of the other students who liked to pick on her could find her. She smiled lightly when she saw Mia, giggling quietly at the older girl, before she let out a squeak when she was grabbed and pushed off the school grounds. She let a relaxed smile cover her face when she saw where they were though, in that beautiful clearing that Mia had showed her that first day they met, and that had become their secret hide away. "So, how was your first day back?" She asked quietly to get the older girl talking in order to break the silence that had fallen on them when they left the school.
Mia turned to look at Idunn. "Same old same old. Classmates trying to get me to play their sport. Arguing over which I would choose...boring shit.." She said smiling gently at her. She shifted her weight from one foot to the other. " Listen.....there is something...." She said rubbing the back of her head. "...Something I want to talk to you about...." Mia said stepping closer to the other girl.
Idunn smiled softly at Mia, nodding in understanding at the same old boring stuff that always happened at school. She tilted her head to the side a little in curiosity, getting the feeling that the older girl was nervous about something. "Well alright then, what is it?" She asked quietly, curious as to what it was.
Mia laughed trying to throw away these unusual feelings she wasn't used to. It wasn't normal for her to be nervous; ever. She could either make a complete fool of herself on the football field or become the MVP for the game, without a second thought. But the idea of telling Idunn her feeling's was genuinely waking her panic, almost. Mia couldn't wait any longer. If she didn't tell her now, she never would. "Idunn...I..." She said closing the distance between them. In one smooth motion she took Idunn's chin between her fingers and tilted it up towards her. She never really thought things completely through and if she would have, she would have realised this wasn't the best way to go about it. She pressed her lips against the other girls own lips, savoring the feeling a moment before pulling back a little. "....Jeg elsker dig..." She whispered as her heart seemed to stop beating waiting for her to answer.
