QUIRKS/ODDITIES
-He really likes picking up and reading the Winnie the Pooh series. He feels like it was a part of his childhood.
-He can decode alien emails. He talks to an alien on a daily basis, but doesn't tell anybody because that would sound as ridiculous as talking to flying rabbits or something! Seriously!
-He has an odd love for whales. The species was going to go endangered for awhile, so he learned as much about them as he could. He even kept one as a pet for a long time!
-He loves watching scary movies, but hates that he gets so scared of them.
-He has a single hair that he spikes up. According to him, this is the new "in". But also according to him, cowboy hats and glasses are cool. So let's not take too much advice from him.
-Alfred has a pet hamster named Orpheus. He actually keeps it in a mobile ball for most of the day so it can roam around his dorm room.
OVERALL PERSONALITY
Alfred grew up in an old-fashioned home. He wasn't sectioned off from the rest of the world though. He was actually freely allowed to wander into the city and see the sights. He loved it when his parents would take him there. He liked, and still likes, seeing all the different kinds of people. It fascinated him how different each person seemed from the next. He loves finding new styles of music, seeing new styles of clothing, etc etc.
Alfred's grandparents taught him to hate communism and communists. The way they described them was always Russian, Chinese, or Vietnamese. Alfred wasn't too sure, but he agreed and has grown up with the philosophy that all of the above mentioned are communists.
He's really scared of ghosts. He has always slept with the closet door shut because he was scared that something lived in there. He never voiced it, because someone being raised and put into such a prestigious academy should never be scared of anything. He is really also scared of Marmite because of the texture and shape. He is also terrified of geoducks.......because they look like penises.
Alfred was always messing around with computers and laptops. His mom was a programmer and would often take him to work with her, hence how he saw most of the city, and how he learned about the workings of computers. He was given his first laptop to learn on at age 7. While most kids were playing Reader Rabbit, he was mimicking his mother and learning about his computer.
His father and grandfather tried to teach him how to use a gun, but Alfred has always been too clumsy and always misfired. It ended up ricocheting off the side of his barn and hitting him in the shoulder. He can still use a gun, but his shoulder acts up on him alot and he doesn't like to fight on days when it's acting up particularly hard.
He prefers an old fashioned baseball bat for a weapon. Easy to swing. No recoil.
As a general rule, he is pretty socially awkward. He doesn't know how to properly old a conversation and usually just ends up rambling to them. He tends to follow people around being annoying and playing 20 questions with them. to him, it's making friends and getting information. To them, it's annoying.
He has a terrible hero complex. He always sees himself as the leader or the hero of any group he is in. He always believes he wins in any fight, otherwise the fight is not over. He is stubborn in this way. He will fight until someone pulls him away or knocks him out flat.
He can actually see perfectly fine. His glasses are more for show. He claims it gets them all the ladies. This, once again, plays into the socially awkward. Can you tell he doesn't leave his room much?
Alfred has a large heart. once he likes or loves something or someone, he wants to protect them. This could potentially be his downfall.
Alfred stood outside in the cold, waiting for a certain frenchman to come for his snowboarding lessons. He had a surprise for him. Sort of a Secret Santa thing. The American was pretty excited. He swayed about the small area at the bottom of the lift chairs impatiently. His iPod in his ears playing some generic rock.
What would this American do, you ask? Well, when the man strolled up, he would hand him a gift certificate and tell him to take his brother Arthur on a date! Perfect, right?
He even had the perfect place planned! Where better than the cafe in town! It's gotta be the most awesomely awesome romantic date ever! Not to mention classic! Alfred was absolutely sure Arthur would love it. Arthur acted like such an old man, he'd prolly love to be wooed by a French guy at a nice restaurant. Hell, he may even score!
..........EWW EWW NO. BAD IMAGES. Thank you, Alfred's brain.
He went through his iPod, wanting something to dance to. Waiting for people could get so boring when you had nothing else to do! Especially when you were excited to be setting someone up for a date. He was jittery waiting for the guy. He impatiently shifted from side to side. He tooks off his hat, running his hands through his hair before pulling it back on.
When he saw the Frenchman, he pointed dramatically at him as the song he'd finally settled on started playing. "I wanna talk to you."His earphones responded "The last time we talked Mr. Smith, you reduced me to tears. I promise you it won't happen again...." He grinned watching the other's face.

If the baseball bat doesn't make much sense, I will gladly change the injury to his eye. I would really like him to have the bat as his weapon of choice.
